About Brain Boost Tutoring
Hi, I'm Samantha, but the kids all know me as Miss Anderson. Let me tell you about what inspired me to pursue private tutoring.
My purpose is to help relieve the pressure of schooling and achievement standards for both you and your child. Children can find the school environment quite overwhelming and have the potential to become lost in the crowd of the classroom. This can be worsened as they don't speak up because they may feel embarrassed to admit they don't understand something. Children need to know it is okay to not understand straight away. I have seen firsthand the benefits a child can gain from experiencing one-on-one targeted teaching which caters specifically to their needs and learning style. My goal is to identify any gaps in knowledge your child may have and educate them in a safe, welcoming and judgement-free learning space where they are not afraid to tell me when they don't understand.
About our Services
Session Pricing:
One-on-one session 1 hour: $35 per session
2 or more per week: $30 per session (paid at first session of the week)
English Tutoring
Whether it be reading, writing or comprehension, I can scaffold a teaching approach which can build confidence and understanding of spoken and written word. Language is a skill we utilise expansively throughout the day, and a firm grasp of it equips your child with the tools to succeed.
Math Tutoring
Math is a subject matter which builds upon itself as a child progresses through their schooling. If a child struggles with fundamental Math, that can potentially set them up to fail in their future years. I break mathematical problems down to their core concepts with easy-to-follow explanations and a variety of sample problems.
